Roof repairs in West Yorkshire

Leaks, slipped tiles, storm damage and ridge problems, found and fixed properly across Leeds and West Yorkshire. You deal with me from the first call to sign-off.

I reply to every enquiry within 1 hour, 7am–7pm.

Fixing the cause, not just the drip

A leak rarely starts where the water shows. It might be a cracked tile, a slipped slate, flashing that has come away from the chimney or mortar that has dropped out of the ridge. Painting over the stain on the ceiling doesn't fix any of that.

I find where the water is getting in and explain what it will take to put right. You get a free written quote, and the price is fixed before any work starts.

If the roof has reached the point where repairs won't last, I'll tell you that too, and explain why.

Worn roof before repair

Repairs I carry out

  • Leaks and water coming through ceilings
  • Slipped, cracked or missing tiles and slates
  • Ridge and hip tiles, re-bedded or replaced
  • Storm damage
  • Flashings and leadwork around chimneys and walls
  • Valleys
  • Chimney work
  • Fascias, soffits and guttering

If you're not sure what the problem is, that's fine. Describe what you can see, or send a photo, and I'll take it from there.

After a storm

High winds can lift or slip tiles and ridge tiles, and a single gap is enough to let water in. If you've found tiles in the garden or a new damp patch after bad weather, get it looked at before the next storm makes it worse. I'll check the whole roof, not just the obvious gap.

Getting out to you quickly

If water is coming in, don't wait for it to get worse. Call me, or send the quote form with a photo if you can. I reply to every enquiry within 1 hour, 7am–7pm. I'll come out as quickly as I can to look at it.

Once I've seen the roof, you'll know what's wrong, what it takes to fix and what it will cost, in writing, before anything is done.

One number for the whole job

With a repair, you want to know what's wrong, when it will be fixed and who to call. You deal with me throughout. I quote, keep you updated and sign the repair off with you when it's done.

Materials

A good repair matches what's already on your roof. Where the same tile or slate can still be found, that's what goes back on. Where it can't, I'll show you the closest match before any work starts.

How long a repair takes

It depends on what needs doing and how the roof is reached. Some repairs need scaffolding and some don't. I'll tell you how long the work should take when I quote, and agree a date with you.

Roof repair questions

Can you come out quickly?

Yes. I reply to every enquiry within 1 hour, 7am–7pm. I'll arrange to come out as soon as I can. If water is coming in, tell me when you get in touch.

Is it worth repairing an old roof?

Often, yes. A sound roof with one problem area can usually be repaired. If tiles are slipping all over the roof or the underlay has perished, repairs stop being good value, and I'll say so.

Do you charge to come out and look?

No. The visit and the written quote are free, and you'll know the fixed price before any work starts.

Do you also repair chimneys, fascias and guttering?

Yes. I cover chimney work, fascias, soffits and guttering as well as the roof itself. Mention it when you get in touch and I'll look at it on the same visit.

Free written quote, fixed price agreed before any work starts.

Tell me what's going on with your roof. I'll come out, look at it properly and put the price in writing.
